Our philosophy
We are an independent brand based in Milan that creates capsule collections inspired by the concept of the everyday uniform. A total look with basic shapes and vibrant colours, made up of pieces that are easily interchangeable and suitable for all situations.
Each collection revolves around the design of a print that tells stories of our experiences. Journeys, experiences, fragments, moments of our lives. An invitation to remember, to dream and to travel.
RITARITA's philosophy is to create garments that are not only aesthetically beautiful, but also express a sense of individuality and freedom, reflecting the personality of the wearer.
Deadstock fabrics
We believe that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible. We select and use excellent quality deadstock fabrics, sourced from overproduction and surplus stock from Italian suppliers.
For us, sustainable design also means choosing these materials in a way that reduces the environmental impact and adds value to the resources already used to create these fabrics, without compromising the quality of our garments.
Social tailoring
RITARITA aims to rethink the way fashion is perceived and consumed.
Our capsule collections are made by social tailors who not only guarantee high quality garments, but are also responsible for offering new work and training opportunities to women and men in difficult situations.
Slow fashion
We try to do our bit to promote a new, more sustainable model of consumption: we believe in slow fashion and conscious fashion. This is why, in addition to our e-commerce, we organise small events or private sales by appointment, where you can try on the collections, drink a good glass of wine and get advice on garments, colours and outfits.
Who we are
RITARITA are Aurora Rapalino and Margherita Mazza.
Margherita is a freelance fashion designer, she collaborates with various brands in the fashion world as a designer and stylist. Program leader of the master in fashion design of Domus Academy, he teaches at NABA and at the Polytechnic of Milan in the fashion faculty.
Aurora is CEO and Managing Partner of IdLab, a company specialized in the development of transmedia communication projects, strategic consultancy and training. Professor of design management at the University of Milan.
